    • Referral from a physician, nurse practitioner, or physiotherapist

    • We accept referrals for the following:

      • Cortisone infiltration: Cortisone is a powerful medication that acts on the immune system to quickly control or eliminate inflammation. It can relieve symptoms in as little as 48 hours. Its effectiveness typically lasts for 6 to 8 weeks.

      • Viscosupplementation infiltration: The viscosupplement is a natural substance found in the synovial fluid of the joints. Its injection lubricates the cartilage, thus reducing friction and pain. Its effectiveness in relieving pain can take from one to several weeks, but typically lasts from 6 to 12 months, sometimes longer.

*A fee of $75 applies if the infiltration is performed under ultrasound.

  • PRP is a concentration of your own blood platelets, known for their powerful healing and regenerative properties.

    • Blood draw: A small amount of blood is taken, just like a regular blood test.

    • Centrifugation: The blood is spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets and plasma.

    • Targeted injection: The PRP is then injected directly into the affected joint or tissue using ultrasound guidance for precise placement.

Goal: Stimulate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and naturally relieve pain.

  • Here’s what your appointment for a PRP injection will look like:

    1. Initial consultation with the physician to determine if PRP is appropriate for you.

    2. Explanation and informed consent before the procedure begins.

    3. Blood draw and PRP preparation (approximately 10–15 minutes).

    4. Injection using ultrasound guidance into the targeted area.

    5. Same-day return home, with clear aftercare instructions provided.

PRP infiltrations

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is a regenerative approach that uses a sample of your own blood to promote healing. With a high concentration of platelets, PRP helps reduce pain and stimulate tissue repair, particularly in cases of tendinitis, osteoarthritis, or ligament injuries.
